The masterplan

A resort shaped like a heart.

Inspired by the Japanese saying, “Everything starts with the heart and finishes with the heart,” the residences follow a heart-shaped path through lush, mature gardens, converging at the central Longevity Pavilion. Shaded walkways, gentle distances, and a car-free sanctuary create a seamless harmony of nature, wellbeing, and tranquility.

The residences

Handcrafted, log by log, from living cedar.

Every residence is handcrafted by master log builders from whole cedar logs. The living timber breathes, naturally regulates temperature, and fills each space with a soothing cedar scent. Each log home creates a sanctuary that invites deep relaxation, natural harmony, and restorative wellbeing.

Climate-adapted

Designed specifically for a warm, humid coastal climate, with deep shade, natural ventilation and high-performance glazing.

Private by design

Each villa enjoys its own private garden, terrace, and pool, thoughtfully positioned to embrace breathtaking views, abundant natural beauty, and a sense of absolute privacy and tranquility.

Built to last generations

Solid cedar construction is durable, non-toxic and biodegradable at the end of its long lifespan, creating a home that ages gracefully.

The longevity programme

Invest in the years ahead.

Your stay begins with a personal assessment and becomes a programme built around you. Results are measured, explained in plain language, and followed up after you return home.

The founder

A lifelong love of timber, health and nature.

René Deceuninck first fell in love with handcrafted log homes in Switzerland in 1977. In 2002 he lived in one himself for a year, in Belgium. His background spans engineering, holistic and orthomolecular health, and hospitality. Back to Nature Resort brings these passions together: a place where the house itself helps you rest, and every day is designed to help you live longer and better.
